Master Cylinder

I posted this in my recent thread but posting again for general info. I have recently being trying to source a master cylinder to finish my brakes overhaul. It still works but I am thinking after 29 years it is probably not in the first flush of youth. Anyway it turns out apparently that ATE no longer manufacture the part for TurboS2968 cars equipped with ABS. Also Porsche have apparently removed the license for it to be produced in the aftermarket. As stock dries up this will force you to purchase from Porsche at around £500. Is this a sign of things to come? Are Porsche now realising the value of the turbo cars etc and controlling the price of parts accordingly? Anyway Design911 say they have stock but actually don't. Not unusual in my experience. It was the same deal at Promax and Andy has even been struggling to find a seal kit. Max at Frazerpart has sourced one for me at an acceptable price. Still expensive however but the best deal he could do.

It is pretty much inevitable unfortunately.

It will have a knock on of increasing the value of the cars though....eventually.
