Region 13 Report for May 2012
The sun came out just in time for our annual visit to Curborough. Altogether, 25 cars were booked but one or two could not run. Nevertheless, everybody enjoyed the afternoon, with one or two hearts racing. We all went home safe. There will be the usual donation to the Air Ambulance.
We went on the Cotswold Rally with over a hundred Porsches. Derek Sharp is doing a DVD if you want one.
This month we had a very comprehensive talk on tyres by Gwyn Fennel of Continental Tyres. He will be returning in October for a Q & A and final details. So, prepare your questions in time.
August, our National Event at the Chateau Impney. Volunteers wanted, particularly for entry control. Early start Saturday for Club Members filling up. (7.30am). I understand, free admission for helpers.
Let Peter Bull know e mail pr.bull@tiscali.co.uk . Send in your Form that came with PP and write "˜Volunteer' beside the booking details and please let me know.
October meeting will be with Continental Tyres and we have moved Andy Nevitt to November.
Gliding I may be able to get a late booking with the Stratford Gliding Club in July. Could be our monthly meeting. Some of us spectating and all going for a meal afterwards. A nice ride out.
FORTHCOMING EVENTS.
24th June Shobdon Airfield
26th June Concours at Chateau Impney
18/19 August National Event
30th October Continental Tyres
30th November Talk on Grand Canyon and Colorado River

John

is the annual 'show night' still planned for the June meeting? I note it is not included in your summary of forthcoming events.

thanks
David

Hi David,

Yes, it is still on. Basically. the Report was written for PP, which may arrive too late for a June event to be of any use. The one on the Forum is a concise version and I did intend to put the June event in but forgot. I had a lot of trouble sending the full report for some reason on the Wednesday and could not complete until Thursday, by which time, I had had enough. Thanks for pointing this out and I will endeavour to edit..........Regards........John
