What do you reckon its worth?

Very well spec-ed! What was the price you paid when new? It all depends on how many similar models are out there but knocking off 20-25% might give a rough guide but I suspect it may be even less than that. Don't know if the rule of selling in summer fetches a slightly better price still apply...

Dont ask, it hurts when I say it. £49k. Ouch[:(]

Taking 25% would give £36750, you may have to wait forever as the person who wants all those options and colour may pay £39-40K-ish (i.e. 20%) off the price but otherwise I am afraid the market right now is quite flooded with individuals selling 2-3 years old Boxster S but still not as bad as the 2.7 Boxsters.

What are the early 987s Boxster S' going for guys?

I have had a look on the dealer sites and prices vary from 36k for a basic spec up to 43k with good spec. So I guess that makes the trade prices 31k - 39k depending on spec. I assume opcs make about 4k per unit.

Ouch indeed.... you didn't fancy an "S" at the time then? Problem you have is that you will be priced well into a moderately well specced S market so your potential punter will really want to have all those extras.

Good luck. Have you tried the "wanted" ads in the Sunday Times?

Sorry dapster youve lost me.
I dont understand the "you didnt fancy an s at the time then" comment.
If you have missread it is an s.
If you mean did I not want an s when I bought it..... Yes i did.
I cant think what else you may mean.
Im sorry to sound a bit of a p##s taker but I do understand that it is a well specced car and I do understand that people have to want certain extras its kind of like saying you have to find someone that wants a skoda to be able to sell it. [:)]
I just needed to have an idea of what the cars worth. Looking on pistonheads there are 5 987s up to 37995 but most are lower spec models. The 37995 car was purchased for 45k.

Sorry - my fault. I thought it was the vanilla one.....

£50k new isn't off the scale for a new Box. You've got lots of nice toys so the thing would be to price it near the mark for a similar age car with a lesser spec. If you price it below the psychological 40k line, it won't hang around for long. Trouble with Pistonheads and the like is people can see if it's hung around for a while and may take the mick but the sun is shining, the car sounds amazing, pitch for a bit more.

There is a thread here on the most expensive 987's for sale, there was a white one at Camtune up for £60k which had absolutely everything on the list including PCCB's (thought strangely not metallic or a sports wheel....). It did sell eventually, but someone lost their shirt on it.

Too well specced up bit like going for a job and not getting it for being over qualified [:D] I would guess we have £34K trade and £36ish private sale. Phone a few wanted ads out of Sunday Times and you will soon know which way the wind is blowing. Good Luck [;)]
