McGard Wheel Nuts - Don't Bother !

Not impressed. Porsche locking wheel nuts on my car looked a little too generic and therfore easy to get a key for, so I opted for some McGard ones.

What a waste of time over a £30 transaction. Firstly they take your money for the dearer version without checking whether that version is available for your car. Then they send out the wrong set - locking nuts instead of locking bolts. It has taken me 3 attempts to get an answer from them as to what they propose to do about it. Finally got a response today - no attempt at an apology - just a send them back (in your own packaging, at your expense and wasting your own time) and we'll send you out the right ones (presumably, hopefully second time round they may pick the correct ones !).

Rant over. Just a warning to not waste your time too....

I wouldn't have wasted your time. Anyone that can get past the Porsche locking bolts will probably have wheelnut removers that will take off anything.

Have Porsche improved their wheel nuts ?

My car is about 1 1/.2 years old and seems to have a uniform pattern all the way round. A friend whose just taken delivery of a new Porsche has wheel nuts that have a more unique unsymmetrical pattern to them (much like the McGards).
