Hi

i need to measure the oil level with a durametric on a 987 3.2 s - dash is not option as car is modified- anyone experience of doing this - i can see it in the software but if i recall correctly it says something like adjusted value for oil level

how do i interpret that in to half, 3/4 etc - it needs more oil !!! and avoid repetitive trips to my dealer to get a level - how i miss a simple dipstick !

thanks in advance

Andrew,

Have you got a deep sump oil pan? If that's the case I suppose the best way to proceed would be to drain the sump and then check the level after refilling with standard + 2 litres (or whatever the supplier says is the incremental capacity increase). That way at least you'll have a calibrated datum to work with.
