Measuring remaining hybrid battery capacity?

Hi Keith, I’ve owned 3 Cayenne Hybrids the first one I had for almost 7 years without any charging problems. The Hybrid battery definitely has an extended warranty, on top of the normal vehicle warranty see here for more info on that.
I don’t know if there is actually anyway to be able to test the actual health or serviceability on one yourself, however I’m sure someone much wiser than me may be able to answer that question or perhaps your local OPC could be a bit more help.
To protect yourself It would definitely be worth asking about extended warranties and what they actual cover depending on where you’re thinking of purchasing from and just a side note my earlier one only did around 11-14 miles on a charge even when new, hope this helps.

Thanks Greg. Reminded me that it is only the post 2018 cars that worth looking at. Keith
As Greg said there is limited info we can get to see on the "user interface", there is probably a load of service info hidden behind some code somewhere that an OPC can get to, but all we have is range prediction on the in car display. As mentioned the first gen of the (the Cayenne S-eHybrids) showed about 11-14 miles range after a full charge depending on outside temp. I also saw this figure on my first Hybrid. My latest (Cayenne e-Hybid) which I got in Dec 2019 generally shows 20-24 range miles on full charge .. Obviously 24 appears more in the summer than winter .. just looked at the App as the car finished charging about 60 mins ago and range is showing 21 (outside temp is 7C and I'd guess garage temp is possibly at max 15C).

Our car is now almost 3 years old and it is parked outside 24/7. We are getting an indicated range after charging on the 2 pin plug overnight of about 22 miles. We did occasionally see 27 miles range in the summer but it was generally about 25. Those miles are always based on you not using the heaters/AC or lights so it drains pretty quick in the winter. Last winter we got about 15 miles actual motoring from electric only which is fine for our local journeys
we have not seen any degradation of range, charge times or indicated range since we took delivery. I believe Porsche only give you about 85% of the available battery to help extend the life of them. I believe this is the same across the range compared to other manufacturers

Thanks all. No longer going to see the 2014 vehicle but a 2016 looks interesting.
