MEET - Pub Of the Month (POTM) - MARCH 27th

Hey - one of the recent good ideas was to meet up at any pub in the region - a different pub every month - have a social natter, go for a quick spin, and then do "whatever" (talk more, go seperate ways).

Well, I'm happy to organise one of these, and would like to propose that on March 27th, we have an informal gathering @ the Cowpers Oak pub just outside Olney.

The pub can be found here.

It's a quaint place, good nosh, excellent rural setting and the pub is very used to looking after car clubs etc. As it's a Sunday lunch, and to keep organisation simple I suggest that if you / your family want to eat there please make your own arrangements with the pub. They can be contacted on:-

Cowpers Oak
High St, Weston Underwood,
Olney,
Buckinghamshire MK46 5JS
Tel: 01234 711382

I hope that all makes sense.

If anyone else has any other pubs they would like to organise a visit to, then by all means drop Mike Pink a line - I'm sure he would be glad of the offer of support !

Cheers

Thumbs up from me, liked it last time, nice food, good coffee, decent car park. If we're not on holidays I will see you there!

And me - if the sun is shining and the roads are dry and salt free...

Oops I thought I was cycling over there for a moment not taking the P-car[:D]

Thanks to all those who made the POTM @ the Cowpers oak. It was a cracking venue, and the weather held out.

So, where next ?

There is a thought to the green man @ Lavendon...and others, but hey...it's an open forum.

Somewhere near MK ?

Green Man in Lavendon is a good choice...reasonably large car park, and a very good restaurant. Gets very busy on Sunday's though (where doesn't).

For sunnier days, The Boot in Soulbury is great; food is good, and the tables outside are adjacent to the car park - you get to keep an eye on your car [;)]

The Green Man is already booked for the May Monthly Meeting - Sunday 8 May, after the Stoke Goldington Steam Rally (5.30 - 8.00pm). Steve, we discussed this, but I know you were a bit under the weather at the time. [8|]

Can we get suggestions for an "alternate" pub venue - preferably a week day evening - to give members who cannot do Sunday's a chance to get together in R10. I can't generally do weekdays, but the RO shouldn't impose his own preferences and I want to test out the demand for weekday meetings. (You never know, there may be a budding RO out there and a large contingent of members who would turn up regularly!)

Cheers
