Metal Clip on 987.2 Boxster front bumper help please

Hi,
I need some advise for a job tomorrow.
I am going to clean the rads and do some other tidying up with the wheels and front bumper off.
Just started taking the front bumper off my 2010 Boxster and took the metal clip, (Part 98150571901), just in front of the headlights off from the drivers side.

Came out fairly easily with a hook tool exactly as I have seen it done on Youtube, with it sliding toward the centre of the car with the small hole leading. Nothing forced and it slid out nice and clean.
I am looking at it now and cannot for the life of me see how it can go back in, the reverse of how it came out. The fixed part of the spring appears to be on the wrong end. Does it go back in from the other side and push it towards the centre of the car or do I just reverse the taking off procedure and push it back toward the wheel side?
If it goes in from the opposite side, how did it come out in the first place. If it goes back the way it came out how do I get the fixed part of the spring to go over the two edges on the body and bumper?
I can't see enough of the other side to figure this out and it has got me completely baffled!
Lots of videos on YouTube of how to remove, but nothing on how to put it back in.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Edit,
Just taken the other headlight off so I could have a better look at the other one and sorted it. It fits on a lug and is not a clip in the way I thought it was.
