I have a MY2003 996 C2 with a Metropole Blue Full Leather Sports Interior. I am after some dye to to re-stain a couple of scuffs in the leather door panel.

I am informed there are 2 different codes P976 & P1229. However neither are shown on my cars specification sheet or log book.. Only carpet code of G10 is shown.

Any information would be appreciated

Thanks

Trevor

HI Trevor
Unfortunately there are a few different codes for Metropole blue, the leather trim code from 2002 is ETF, leather for trim panels from 2002 is DFX, Full leather is listed as EX, G11 is for leather linings, G12 is listed as leatherette linings, so it can be a bit confusing.
More codes listed on this link https://type911shop.co.uk/Interior-Codes
good luck

Thanks for the reply Andy.

However its not the trim but the colour code I am after which according to suppliers is a P code. Possibly P976 or P1229. I think its P976 from what I have seen but can't prove it.

Thanks

Hello - I did the same on my metropole blue interior earlier in the year. I bought a kit from colourlock - search on google and you will find their website. I bought a handy sanding pad too, which was excellent at removing the damage that goes along with scuffs etc. Then the dye was perfect, cant even see where the marks were before.

Thanks all for your advice and guidance.

However its the dye colour that I keep getting asked for.

Evidently there are two different ones. P976 & P1229.

I have found out from another contact that the code I am looking for is the P976 which is Blue/Black version of Metropole Blue which used was during MY year 2003. P1229 is Blue/Green version of Metropole blue. I have not been able to find out what years this was used on but would assume by the higher number it must have been some of the last cars.

Thanks again.

Trevor
