Got one last week from

For £24.99 + delivery (£3.83), inflates the tyres off the 12v outlet Check the pressure of each tyre digitally, if underinflated, set the desired pressure, and it will pump until the pressure is achieved, then it stops. Takes around 1 minute for 1.5 psi.

Really good, seeing as I've read petrol station pumps can be as much as 6psi out, and who can be bothered with the hassle anyway!

Always make sure you inflate from cold tho.

Excellent.

P.s they make a more expensive model-£34.99, probably just a faster pump.

I got one from Halfords. It seems to work okay, noisy though! However, it does say that you are supposed to double check at a service station. Happy to buy one of these if one can be a touch more confident about the result. Is it really a Michelin backed product?

It is very noisy, I let it go in my garage closed! It is a Michelin product with a guarantee, and the instructions don't tell me to check at a service station. The problem is whenever I go to a service station it has to be one nearby so my tyres dont get too warm, the inflator has to be available to use, The inflator gauge must be working, (often isn't), gauge must be legible (often filled with water), must be done during the daytime or won't be visible, and I don't assume the gauge is even accurate (Ive heard they can be way out).

For all these reasons, I bought the digital pump, I'll be more likely to keep the tyres at the correct pressure, extending their lives.

The auto-cutoff electrical tyre inflators are not usually very accurate (+/- 2PSI usually). I have one from Halfords and always set the pressure at 1 or 2 PSI above what I really want. Once the unit switches off I use a separate digital tyre pressure gauge to measure the tyre pressure more accurately, releasing air from the tyre as required. The tyre pressure gauge I have also has a very accurate digital tyre tread depth gauge on it as well.

Agree with the posts saying these things are very noisy. I always use mine at 7.00am on Sunday mornings to wake the neighbours up........only kidding!

Way quicker at pumping up tyres than a Porsche one though and smaller in size
