Having suffered a minor heart attack today

The car my have to take a back seat, as I post this from the hospital wifi

Well at least you are still with us.

Get well soon and, remember, chasing the nurses isn't going to help your heart. "Oooo Matron!"[;)]

Yes ,get well really soon-& on the other hand, black stockings & chasing nurses does wonders for the morale[;)]

He's currently being moved to the London Heart Hospital to have something like a stent put in, may not have wifi in that hospital.

Hang on in there mate. I have had five heart attacks and had six stents fitted. Just like having a full service and you feel great afterwards. Good thing is no washing up or hoovering for six weeks afterwards but bad thing is no driving for four weeks but hey ho it soon go's..

Hi Martin,

Sorry to read that news mate, you take care and hope you are up and in the driving seat again very soon.

All the best

Well to the sadness and deep disappointment to all I have survived this ordeal

The blood supply to the left hand side of my heart was blocked almost completely (you need to make sure those drains are cleared)

Had to have two stents fitted to re open the blocked artery in doing this while you are wide awake and watching on your own screen is amazing, even though fitting the first one block the flow completely and caused me to have a small arrest there and then, it was like being kicked by a horse

Feeling a little battered and bruised but on the mend

Thanks all for your support

strewth what a incredible thing to happen ! Very glad you are over the worst and on the mend Martin.
I guess this is a bit of a kick up the pants for the rest of us ! we need to service and look after ourselves as well as we look after our cars

Glad your on the mend, at least you have the summer of driving to look forward to.
All the best

They say every cloud has a silver lining - well this one has 2. Martin's had the stents fitted to the LHD side successfully, no doubt done him the world of good, hopefully fitting the RHD parts will go as successfully. The other bonus is that his car is no longer for sale, which means that we can look forward to many more useful posts about 968 ownership and Martin can look forward to 968 driving!

Result!![:D][:D][:D]

Good luck Martin, at least they didn't have to open you up and mess around with your plumbing, having stents is easy, the bad part is the rehabilitation sessions after you have recuperated, you will become an athlete, but living on alien foods. You will be amazed how fast 4 weeks flash by, a chance to catch up and read all of the car magazines.

as per normal with our beloved health care system, I have had the fault fixed but so far nothing on the rehabilitation front, my GP and chemist cant sort out the required medication between them.

this world seems to be full of educated idiots
