During the night some lowlife got into the area behind my house where I park my cars and left 5 other, more valuable, cars alone and tried to steal my 924S and 924 Turbo. They smashed the ignition locks buit left the Sat Nav and Road Angel. They also left a camcorder.
It was obviously the cars that they were after. make you feel good that our cars are so sought after.

Sorry to hear about that, Geoff. It is a real nuisance, let alone all the time, energy and money you need to spend to bring these cars up to parr again. I'm following a bit in your footsteps I realise as these little 924's are damn capable winter porsches.

On the other hand, they might have thought to steal two red ferrari's and once they realised they were 924's, they left them standing ?[;)][:D]

Agree about the low life-our 924S is normally left on our drive in front of the BMW so impossible to steal-the garage queen is the more valuable 964 with the MGB in bits in front.
However, you get a better class of person in Formby, they tend to steal from Steven Gerrards house round the corner.
Hope the damage is not too bad ,Geoff & yes,our 924S is a brilliant car for all seasons-so much so that my wife would rather"use up" the 964 than the 924S,which remains her favourite-despite her wanting the 964 as well.

I have a policy of NOT locking the 924's and not leaving anything of value in them (The Sat Nav etc was in my Megan which should have been locked but wasn't) that way they don't have to break anything to get in. Because of this the only damage was to the ignition locks no smashed windows or jemmied door locks.

While on the subject no one within 100 mile had replacements. Porscheshop came to the rescue by obtaining 2 and couriering them to me all within 30 hours from asking to receiving. Great service and in case anyone is cynical I am assured that this is their normal service.
