mini service

I thought at the weekend when I replace my weeping camcover gasket, I might do a mini service on the car.

What oil do people use these days and is a oil/air filter from euro parts fine or should I go upto my OPC and get the real thing?

10w40 Semi-Synth (Fuchs Titan XTR fwiw)

Filters from GSF this time (and ECP in the past) with no problems.

I put 10/40 castrol gtx high milage in mine,it seems to do the job! My mate put som super thin stuff in his once and it found evert little gap it could to escape[], so i would steer clear of anything thinner than that! I also put a K&N filter in it which lets things breathe a little easier. I have put a genuine oil filter on as they dont cots much more than the cheapest ones at euro car parts only about £3 more. They sell genuine ones at euro car parts too! (i just looked)! Are you going to change the fuel filter too?
Have a good time!!

An S2 will be fine on a good quality semi-synthetic at 10w40 in our country. I've only ever used genuine or Mahle oil filters at under a tenner each

Castrol mag 10-4o semi syn and always an original filter...dont know why but i always have and always will on my best cars ![:)]
