Toying, well more than toying. With the idea of a trailer. I know our cars will fit a 16ft bed comfortably but what is the minimum bed length and width that you can safely get away with? Anyone with experience of using smaller than a 16ft bed length? Fair amount of 14ft trailers outthere, less 16ft and tend to command a premium.

Hi Laurence
I've been using a 14ft Woodford dual axle tilt-bed trailer since 2009 for my RS and SC. I've not found the length to be an issue and even have a tyre rack mounted at the front. I do load the cars on backwards so as to keep the centre of gravity over the trailer wheels. This may not be so much of an issue on a longer trailer?
My next step would be to go for a covered trailer (in my dreams) and then the extra length might be necessary.

Thanks Tim. That's good to know. Have you ever measured the Nose (tongue) weight out of interest?
You and me both[]
