Minty was a podium winner!

As its quiet on here, I've been doing some research (thanks to those that have been helping), and I've got some more history on the car. Turns out the car did frequent the podium on a reasonably regular basis in its first 2 years of life.

Nice to hear......More to follow.

I believe these were the customers cars run by Knupfing in 1992 in German club series races. They ran Cups in the German Cup in 1990 (on behalf of the factory) and 1991 (my car for Porsche Italia and one other car).

Damen,

The photo came from Knupfing and he did confirm that he ran the car in Clubsport. However, he was unsure of where the photo was from. I have some results from the Club series, but still trying to find more for 93 / 94. Post that the car was in Ferrari Porsche challenge 95 and 96 as far as I can tell. But I cant really find any result for those years yet either.

I had no idea how much Knupfing did, until I took a look around their website. They do some cool stuff!

cheers

Hugh,
Where are you findings points of reference for your car and races? I would also like to confirm if possible its background (I think). I have little history with my N-GT from previous owners and covering this period. Rumours was it raced and was placed by Tom where it was purchased from, but nothing else.

Any pointers greatly received.

Regards

S

Hugh - don't forget to document that your car was campaigned, as mine was, by Desmondo Alborsturdee for the short-lived Wichsen Rennen Team. Herr Alborsturdee's spin in your car at Luffield is filed deep in the anals of history.

Simon,

I'll contact you offline over Xmas break.

Hugh

Rich - thanks, I'll be sure to add it in - Any photos? :)
