Mis-firing / Stuttering for a numpty

Ok, I have this wee problem in that when I drive my Black Beauty, which is often no more than once a week, occassionally she will stutter when I accelerate hard. Sometimes, she is sat there for a week or more before being used, so I suppose it could be moisture build up!

It's like she's only firing on 3 cylinders and once its got through about 3.5k revs it disappears - sometimes!

So my question is, what should I look at first and what should be replaced/serviced?

Ta muchly

An electrical numpty!

Get the plugs changed, the leads checked and the distributor cleaned.
If it is firing on three the easy way to check is remove the plug leads in turn (start the car each time and see if there is really bad starting / running ) If there is then swap a good plug for the one that isn't firing and start the car again. if car runs better then it is your plug at fault.
The distributor contacts would probably benefit from a good clean.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

I had the same thing, didnt drive it for a week or two, and would miss when accelarating,

Clean up the dizzy points, and change the leads, you might as well change the plugs as well as there so cheap.
