misfire - not coil

Hi looking for a bit of advice please.
I have a misfire on cylider 4 on idle, never affects any other cylinder. Do not notice it once driving. Checked by local mechanic and his diagnostic computer just tells him misfire on 4, engine warm - or something like that. Engine Management Light does not come on. Recent service when all plugs/coils changed, and just replaced coil #4 again but made no difference. Can anyone make suggestion. I have an extended dealer AA aftercare waranty, but they will not pay for diagnosis so everything i try will cost me until fault found.
Live in North Scotland so nearest Porsche dealer 2 hour drive away in Aberdeen.
Thanks in advance
John

The misfire and coil packs are what spring to mind, but clearly you've tried this. Maybe the two hour drive and a hook up to the OPC diagnostic equipment is the only way you'll find out for sure. Others more technical may have an answer.

I also have a Cayenne Turbo (2004) but with a slight misfire on cylinder 3.

Plugs were changed along with coil packs about a year ago (9000 miles),

OPC west London have had the car for a week recently, and still cant find the problem, they checked Plugs, Coil packs, Maf sensor, etc, but it still comes up with a irregularity on cylinder 3, and the car still has a rough idle.

I will be taking it back to them in a few weeks for some more investigating, and will post on here if they find a cure.

All the best.

Tony.
