I think you are concerned that your vin plate has been tampered with? Are you looking at the correct, metal, plate? There are several vin identifications on the car, including easily damaged paper ones.
Any chance of posting a photograph?

If I reply saying your real problem is punctuation and asking do you really talk like that non stop you will think we are all nobs on here. So, do you mean the Vin on the VIN Plate, the VIN on the V5, or the stamping on the body ?

PS. Dont come to the AGM as you if you speak as long sentences as you write we will never get home !

Totally agree with you.

I lost the will to continue - and almost to live - after the first line or two so I gave up.

And no, I don't think we are all nobs (or is it knobs?) on here for wanting something posted which is (easily) readable? More likely to get some replies if we are able to read and make sense of the subject!

Going to a dark place to lie down now.

sorry if i have disapointed you with my efforts on the wed site as i am new to this site and my computor skills are fare from good, and as for talking yes i can talk the hind legs off a donkey.

Please do not mention "hind legs off a donkey " on this forum as it may set off another food scare and we will be closed down!

Have fun

Kenny - don't worry about us all[;)] - Just post up a picture of your mangled VIN - we are eager to understand and help.
Welcome to the forum[:)]

Kenny, as Mark says, don't get upset about us old hands on here.

It was only a mild rebuke; you should see what happens when 'personal' number plates are put on here for sale. Then it really gets entertaining.

It's good to get new members and posts on PCGB, especially after the problems we had around Christmas time. We're all Porsche and car enthusiasts so if someone on here knows the answer or can point you in the right direction they will, for sure.

Enjoy.

What problems around Christmas time? I think you may have been eating too much horse meat, wasn't that the previous Christmas, all has been rosy since last year's AGM.

Welcome to the club Kenny and what an excellent choice in car. In some respects if the rest of the car checks out and you can't find anything wrong with it, don't worry about it. Pictures would be useful, as would shorter sentances, maybe broken up into paragraphs. If you need help getting your pics up just ask.

What problems around Christmas time?

Cannot speak for everyone but it was my understanding that something was wrong with the mailing system for most of us. None received from about Christmas time through January.

True, I didn't think of that one. But I don't think that affected the day to day use of the forum. New members were still signing up and using the forum and responses still got through.

Fair comment, it didn't affect the day-to-day activities but I'd got used to getting messages from my chosen forums so it was disappointing for them not to be in the Inbox each day for so long.

Still, hopefully, all is resolved now.
