is it ok to mix different grades of oil i have castrol magnatec 10w 40 in my car but bought magnatec 5w 40 in error,my cars booked in for a service in a few months is it ok to top up the engine with the 5w 40?
Thanks

Im sure that it has been discussed before (what is the best oil for the 3.2)
From memory it has been said that full synth oils are more prone to leaks due to their viscosity - I have used Shell Helix since owning the car (6 years) and I have been very pleased with the results (but in fairness have little to compare with - other than zero leaks).
Im not sure that mixing the oil grades is advisable, however knowledge of others on the subject may prove me wrong.

Cheers
Adam
