For sale too.

Just had a quick look at this.. Nice piece of kit...
Check out the power graph. I wish my car had that torque plot.....
Its just a pity they dont do a kit for the RHD cars. As the brake servo gets in the way, aparently....[8|][8|][8|]

"The brake assist is provided hydraulically via Bendix Hydroboost which works excellent.

The power steering pump, which powers the brakes as well as the power steering rack, is a custom built pump by Turn 1. The output pressure is raised, while the output volume is lowered. This gives the steering the proper feel, while eliminating hydraulic fluid over heating in the power steering/brake assist system on tight race tracks."

sounds like it might not fit with lhd either

I don't know why you'd go to all that hassle for PAS. You don't need power steering, and if you want it for slow speed stuff then run an electric system on the column that is either on a switch or switches out above 10mph or something.

A remote brake servo will fit somewhere.

A cheaper (although less trick) option would be to run an electric power steering pump, perhaps from a Mercedes-A or a Vauxhall Corsa.

Ignoring the engine, the rest of the car is like a check list of things you would do given the time & money.

Very true, but it is not that easy to ignore that engine (note).....!

Only thing missing from my car is that noise[8|][:D]

Sommit the same on the eBay in the States...

Well, sort of the same but way up the other end of the spectrum in respect of preparation and desirability. [;)]

The first one was a cohesive package. In the case of the second, the only reason you would consider that engine and car in the same though is someone bolted them together (badly). The best thing to do would be take the engine out and throw the car away.

That second one clearly started life as a Lux (square-dash), but has a Turbo/S2-esque front end. The lines don't look *quite* right where the bumper meets the front wings, so I don' think he has fitted a full Turbo/S2 front to it.

Therefore, is that bumper a custom part (in which case then why on earth didn't he do the lights properly), or is it a recognised aftermarket bit?

Oli.

Theres some good videos at the bottom of the page too. Lovely car, love the intake manifolds on that engine. Reminds me of some of the new audi V8's.

I haven't looked at the link to be honest, but there is (was?) an S2/Turbo look front end for the Lux. It was easy to spot as it had a sharp corner where the bottom front of the wing meets the PU, whereas on the factory one that is a straight edge with a curved upsweep on the end.
