MO30 Suspension

Hello

I know there have been many posts in regards to the mo30 Suspension, and i had it in mind that Porsche were selling the kit for around the £500 mark this included all parts needed to do the upgrade, and was well discounted.

I rang my local OPC and they have quoted me £1229.90 + VAT in which case i wont bother. Does anyone know something i don't on this if so i would be grateful to hear something so i can make inquires on this? I am aware that this figure i can take off 10% as i am a club member.

Thanks Phil

I took my kit to a local garage that i know and he charged around £200 to fit it then i had the geo checked for another £150. OPC's are always expensive, however i found they were the cheapest for the kit esp with 10% off. Dont forget to get new top mounts for the front and rear.

Try porscheshop, last I checked they were doing it for about £600.00 I'm going to be ordering a kit myself soon, not overly keen on using M030 shocks, but with the price of the OEM standard ones, it's a no brainer to renew all four + get extra parts for the price of less than two normal ones.

phillips the opc price may be for installation and geo as well . check chris thats cheap - near london? - any thoughts on polybushes - autofarm said will be too hard with Mo30 Not on my arse. So have full set of polybushes for sale

The price quoted was for parts only not fitted + vat so I was quiet surprised, anyone else purchased at a good price from opc. I will take into account porscheshop. My plan is to buy the kit and have it fitted by my Indi Phil

I've looked on Porscheparts site and can't find M030 listed. Am I missing something? Chris, where did you get yours from? Regards

Interesting is this the same as the M030 kit as it mentions ride height lowered by 10mm and not 30mm which I was informed the M030 would give as a ride height.

M030 is 10mm lower than standard, and X74 is 30mm lower. Sounds like they quoted for the X74, which isn't usually discounted. When I get to my PC tomorrow, I'll look up the part numbers for each model, and the current prices.

I got mine from the opc in leeds. Alot of the online companies quote a price that doesnt include vat for the cost of the kit. I found the mounts were cheaper online tho.

Richard, this would be very helpful as i was quoted the Mo30 kit but he did say the car would be lowered by 30mm which I did think was to low for the Mo30 he also mentioned the availability was not great so maybe there was a mistake? I look forward to seeing what you come up with. As always thanks for your help. Regards Phil

As mentioned it's the X74 that loweres by 30mm, I would consider this if I were you, at least if you do some spirited driving or track days. And if that price given is for the X74 it sounds like a good deal to me. I've got the M030 my self but with lowered springs, works very well but still rolls a bit in the corners.

Thanks, the thing is that I use my car on all sorts of driving a lot of B roads, motorways. I would like it to have crisper handling and from what many have said the Mo30 kit works very well. I also don't want it to hard as often I use my car with my wife and two children so don't want it to feel to hard. When I heard that people had paid around £500 for the Mo30 kit I thought that this would be a good time to go for it, but when inquiring was surprised by the price and can't justify the cost of £1229.90 + vat + fitting. Cheers Phil

Richard, thanks for this, just called my local opc and they have now confirmed the price but won't give me the 10% off for being a club member plus they have no stock the same in Germany, however he is going to make a call and find out the score. As soon as I know I will post my findings. Phil

When i ordered mine it had to be shipped from germany. I dont think the opc's keep much in stock.

I tried to order from 1 OPC and they have informed me that Germany (porsche) have no stock and are in negotiations with their supplier, they will contact me when they have more news but think the price will shoot up, this happened on the 993 a few years ago, so I have been told. So for good measure I tried another OPC and they took the order giving me the relevant discounts as per Richards figures. The parts are on back order but i have been informed that everything should be ok if not the system would flag up a note saying that there could be a change in the product avalible so i have my fingers crossed and will wait and see. Phil

That price is just such a bargain, just pick up the phone and say yes! Or order from Design911 og Porschechop etc... I got quoted just over £1000 per axle! last time I checked. :) And thats not norwegian crazy pricing, just stock Porsche price with a little VAT on top.
