Hi

This oil has quote "Extra seal conditioners to help prevent oil leaks ".

After much searching I feel this is now the "right" oil to use in the (older pre variocam) Boxster engines. Anything that can help those RMS and IMS Bearing seals must be good.

Anyone else with knowledge of this oil ?

I would think that that oil is too heavy for the tiny galleries in the M96/7 engine.
Maybe Baz could comment when he reads this please.

Recently had a full service at local OPC and they now use this oil .I asked to use Mobil 1 but they said this was also recommend by Porsche now and cheaper as well .Mine is a 06 987 2.7 engine

I can't find any reference where this oil is recommended/approved by Porsche for use in the M96/7 engines. Personally I would be concerned about cold start protection. Mobil recommend this oil for use in "older cars".
There is an interesting writeup by Opie Oils here:
