New member here,

Is there any local members that have a code writing enabled PIWIS system? Or know a tech that has the capacity?

Looking to have my airbag/seats coded for bucket seats/harnesses and rear spoiler changed to fixed but the car is currently in a state where it also need‘s other jobs such as wheel alignment so looking to see if I can get someone to call out to me to do the coding so it’s not screaming at me when I take it out for further work due to airbags etc

Hi

I may be able to help - I can code the 996 and 986 models on a bench (using post rather than personal visits), and I'm currently trying to roll this out to the 987's and 997's. I'm just setting up the necessary environment that PIWIS/AVDI is happy to work at the moment - but if this is something of interest then feel free to get in touch.

Thanks

Hi ian

i don’t seem to be able to private message you, not quite following your message about being able to do it on a bench, are you meaning to send ecu?

i‘m interested in all possibilities at the moment and don’t mind venturing out as i’m going crazy in the house 😂

Hi

I doubt you'd want to venture out to me in Essex - bit of a long journey, and I'm not sure if you'd get away with it under the current restrictions.

But yes if you wanted to post the relevant modules (rear) for spoiler, and airbag for seats I may be able to assist. I need a week or two to get everything finalised and set up though - I'm currently waiting on some modules to build up a 'virtual' car that will allow the diagnostics computers to think they are talking to a real car.

My membership ran out a while back so I don't think you can use the PM but if you need it email is ian.baker67@me.com.

Thanks

Hi Ian

i’ve got the car booked in with redline racing on Monday, Spoke to mike one of the techs about using PIWIS, I believe I’ve found what needs to be done on that system to resolve the issues so I’ll keep you posted as to if it’s resolved 🙏

Should be fairly straight forward to do - spoiler option just needs changing from extendable to fixed and the seat-belt options turned off as necessary.
