Model Cars - Cayman R

Yes I know I'm a big kid but asked Mrs J for a Model of my Cayman R, fro Christmas, such as Mini-Champs or similar? She can find Cayman S models but no R models. Splitting hairs in model form but does anyone know an outlet that sells them? Thanks in advance!

Hi Cayman R Owner I have been collecting Porsche Dealer Issue models for a number of years as yet Porsche has not done an R vision of this Cayman I have even checked with another Model maker Schoco who also make Porsche issue models & they don't do a R vision too. Porsche do tend to bring out models for there cars made but as the R is a special vision it may come later as there has been visions in 1/43 scale of the Gen 1 Cayman & Gen 1 Cayman S & Gen 1 Design Cayman in Black & Gen 1 Cayman Sport in Orange & a Green vision & Gen 2 Cayman & Gen 2 Cayman S but as yet no Gen 2 Cayman R & Cayman Black editions. I will keep a eye out as I'm a member of a special Porsche Model Club for Die Cast models based in Asia & any model collectors out there its free to join by logging onto [link=http://www.porschemodelclubasia.com]www.porschemodelclubasia.com[/link] & its details all porsche models as & when they are released to the world. You can always go down the route of getting someone to customer build a Cayman R vision for you but you maybe looking at about £500 or more. If i can be of any future help I can be contacted on smart707@hotmail.co.uk & if I can help I will. Yours Sincerely Kevin.[:)]

That link didnt work Kevin, I assume it's [link=http://www.porschemodelclub.com/en/index.php]http://www.porschemodelclub.com/en/index.php[/link]. I havent seen an R model anywhere but I did get a nice S model Fujimi kit a while back although all the instructions are in Japanese it may well stay in the box!

HI Alan Thanks for adding the link but I thought it had Asia in the link as its based in Asia & as you will see its a good site if your looking for any Porsche Die Cast Models. As I also said if I can be of any help please E-Mail me & if I can help I will as I helped another member find a White & Red Vision of his prized GT3 RS new vision in 1/18 scale & the only problem he had the wheels was red & his wheels were Black but he was happy to change them to black. I have even found rare models of my Dealerships customers cars as Porsche tend to do there models in a range of there Colour range just like the real cars customers buy. All the best yours Truly Kevin.

My 1:18 black Cayman S arrived for the office desk at home today. Have to say I am amazed at the quality and detailing. Even has working steering (steering wheel moves when you move the front wheels), proper suspension and rubber tyres. Little red brake callipers even say Porsche ! Ok so my daughters reckon I need to grow up but who cares !
