Hi , 1st post new to the board!
Am conciderring buying a modified 930 whilst out in the USA and wanted to know if I may be facing any curve balls, with regards to emissions, Insurance, or MOT's.
Have any of you got mildly modified turbos?
Any reccomended insurance companies?
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

You will find a large majority of US based 930s have been upgraded. See Rennlist forum.

Common mods:

1 bar boast spring
LE exhaust or sports back box
Larger intercooler
Larger turbo (K29)
Addition of 2nd oil cooler
Lowered front suspension
New dampers
Braided hoses + performance pads
Brake cooling ducts

Personally, I would focus on brake/suspension upgrades and maybe a 1 bar boast spring.
The rear suspension is difficult to significantly change without serious $$$. Easy option is thicker torsion bars.

9M have great experience in the UK.

Try Performance Marque for quotes.

Cheers
