Modified 981 GT4

Looking for a modified 981 GT4? Exeter Centre have taken in a Red 2016 c18k miles with non-standard manifolds, larger throttle body, ECU tune and various suspension mods. They need to fit new ECU and otherwise spend £'s to return it to stock. Maybe a deal to be done to save them having to restore it to stock and pay for 2 year approved warranty?

Thanks for posting Ralph. It would be interesting to see how they manage this one. I guess it depends what the motivation was for the mods and the use the car has been put to. The mods would certainly limit the market appeal.

With such an extensively modified car you’d want to know a bit more about its history from the previous owner(s) … maybe it’s been a track rat? Having said that, Exeter were happy to purchase it with the potential to return it to standard so you’d have to assume that there aren’t any scary engine over-ranges.

Given the stinginess of the dealerships when it comes to part exchange or direct purchase I’m sure that it could be a good buy for the right person to take it off their hands.

I believe I know this car and the previous owner. This car was traded in px for a 991.2 GT3.

Car was not extensively tracked, or driven hard/fast on track - but the owner wanted to see what a little tweaking would be like.

Mods were done by Nine Excellence.... as far as I know all the original parts where supplied with the car for restoring to stock.

Should be a nice pick up for someone for the right person.

amazing an OPC took it on, esp as it had a ECU tune.

David,

On reflection I think I might have wrongly assumed ECU tune v DSC box replacing the PASM controller.

Just shows perhaps whats left on the table with the new 4.0L in the 718 GTS/GT4 if they managed 450 from this one.

Nothing wrong with an ECU tune!
