Monte Carlo classic

Went along to see this event was really looking forward to it after last years event ..What a disappointment only about 12 actual Monte cars the rest was made up with a display of cars that had done a heritage run and where parked up with the real Monte cars ,all the cars you would see at the likes of Thirlstone classic show .Seemingly the reason was that the cost of staging the Monte cost a fortune and Glasgow DC where not prepared to fund the costs of policing and staging the event as last year the event was a disaster with roads closed and could not cope with the numbers that turned up So this year the Monte started in countries all over Europe culminating in the finish in Monte Carlo this i was told was the reason .Arrived at 2 and was back on the train into central station at 4 a bit of a non event .
