August monthly meeting is being held at THE REDWELL INN, ARKHOLME, NR CARNFORTH on Wednesday 15th August.

NOT GARSTANG GOLF CLUB.

Leave M6 at Junct 35 and take B6254 towards Kirkby Lonsdale. All cars parked in the car park are judged by other competitors in a light heated manner, with prizes for the all different classes and even ones such as "˜most faithful servant, best interior etc.

Please arrive at 19.00 hours latest and enjoy the atmosphere in the car park. Please all register for the concours, even if you don't come in a Porsche. Entry is £5.00/car including hot-pot supper (passengers hot-pot at £4.00)

There will also be surprise even[/b]t that evening as a couple of days later, long-serving members Peter & Pat Waggett are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary, Sue MacLeod has baked a special cake which they know nothing about[/b], which I hope to present to them on the night.

If you would like to bring a card along with you, and give it to them at the presentation, or send it via me at the address below, I will pass it onto them.

I didn't have the "heart" to point it out;in any case ,not many people could hold a candle to David,particularly in the heat of the moment.[:D]
 
Hoping to come up on one of the bikes if weather is okay but looking at forecast (www.metcheck.com) maybe in car. (Can I enter a bike in the competition? Quicker than cleaning a car!) Whatever, I'll see you there.
Hope to be first in queue for hot-pot unlike last year.
