Monthly meeting Buffet

Hi all,

Great meeting today with lots of ideas and suggestions for events throughout the year. 2018 is looking very good!

One thought was to provide a simple one course buffet following the monthly meeting, rather than a sit down meal.

Please would you let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

I would expect that the cost could be £10.00 per head.

I stress that this is an option I am exploring and not something you have to participate in.

If enough express interest then it could be arranged.

If you can spare a minute to let me have your thoughts it would be brilliant.

Many thanks

Michael

Michael, I’d be very interested - seeing as I can’t usually stay for a full blown meal, a £10 buffet would be most welcome.
Thanks for posting this.

Any of our regular members interested? I think it’s a good idea [:)] (and let’s face it, the biscuits usually disappear in seconds flat).

Michael,

As per conversation earlier this would be a great idea, I just wonder how the mechanics work if you can attend one month but not another? would it be a pay on the day type approach and they cater for the number stated? Then I guess we would need to let you know before hand if attending?

Kind regards

Neil

Hi Neil,

Agreed, would need to order each moth?

Or could order for say 20/25 and we all chip in with the cost?

We may not get enough interested - let’s see

I’ll record you are a yes for now, that maks 2 interested

Thanks

Michael

Hi Dave

thanks for message that’s 5 now interested.

I’ll keep you updated once decision made.

many thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,
count me in, although I cant make it in March.

If we tell the Restaurant how many we are right before the meeting starts maybe they are able to get the food ready after the meeting, that will make it easier. Worth to ask?
Manuel

Manuel.

Great idea about the food/buffet ordering.

I will see if this works with the Hotel.

That makes 6 liking the idea of a buffet.

thank you again Manuel

Kind regards,

Michael

Hi Mark

thanks for the message.

I’ll add you to the list.

Manuel’s idea of letting the kitchen’s Know the numbers for the buffet at the start of the meeting is A good idea, if the hotel will agree to it.

I can’t count so I think that you are number 6 or 7 to like this buffet idea.

Speak before the next meeting about this

Many thanks

Michael

Hi Michael
I was wondering how many members know, that for a few months now, a group of us have been ordering an individual main courses through in the restaurant and that most of the meals there cost less than £10 anyway.

However, I will go with the flow - buffet or restaurant.

Jo
