More power - what mods have you got?

I am close to making a decision on what upgrades to do next. The last dyno run I have done at AMD (so not comparable with Weltmeister) showed 292bhp and 260 lb/ft. I have the AMD chip, hot film, K&N intake, modified throttle body, decat and g-pipe.

I have poured over the results of the RR day and am interested in exactly what mods people have. In particular, Alan's results are stunning while Feroz seems the best of the rest. What mods do you guys have?

I have been looking at the Ninemiester stuff and am very impressed by Colin's ideas and knowledge. However, to get the torque Alan has he says you need new injectors and a MOTEC. I am fairly sure that Alan hasn't got these.
If I can work out how to get more torque without going MOTEC, I would be delighted. After all, torque and the shape of the graph is so much more important than peak bhp.

All ideas and theories welcomed.[:)]

My old bus has the following:-
Cup Pipe
Decat
New Lambda
Top end refresh, 4000km ago.
102mm Exhaust tip
Hot film
RS Tuning chip fitted 1995
Std injectors
Drilled air box lid

For our Dyno Day we set out to remap the car but ran out of time for a full map, so we only did the full throttle position. We aim to finish it when Chris returns from wedding duty [w/c Aug 1st]

The BHP on my car was ok but the torque was immense !

As a good comparison my car ran 304 BHP on AMD Dyno before we touched it but this was ony 291 on my own Dyno. This actually backs up my suspicions of a 5% discrepancy between Sun Maha dynos and Dyno Dynamics ones. All other condition/compensators etc being equal of course.

Using my new result of 306 almost on a DD Dyno would probably see a result of c320 on a Sun Maha ! Of course this is not possible according to some, same as my 420 BHP Evos are not possible ?

The best I can suggest is that you come over and drive my car for yourself, if it feels good, we can remap yours to obtain the optimum from the components fitted.

My car has similar mods. I have wondered whether your top end refresh might have also included a litlle headwork or even cams. As it wasn't done when you owned the car, do you think that is possible? Am I right in assuming you guys have the ability to remap the standard ECU? I have an AMD chip. What are your thoughts and any ideas on costs.

The receipts show all new standard parts purchased and installed. Previous owner was a little stretched for standard bits let alone upgrades. This is why car was for sale. The upgrade was carried out by Carlos Kotnic in Spain who were the Porsche concessionnaire.

Please call me on 08709911797 to discuss

Hi Simon

My car has no obvious mods except for the drilled airbox and K&N filter. No hot film, std throttle bodies, std exhaust including cats etc. I suspect it has been remapped at some stage but I do not know by whom. I haven't had any work done on the engine other than a recent service at Jaz. I had the car inspected there before I bought it and as far as they couldtell all was std which is what I was looking for.

BHP/torque figures were better than I expected (by some margin) although the car always felt good to drive. Probably not much help to you?

Regards
