Morecambe Historic Car Run - Sun 13 Sep - How's it Done?

Anyone been on this before? I see there are some venerable old motors. Particularly looking forward to seeing the Jowetts - my Grandfather worked for them nearly all his working life.

BUT - how is it organised? If we have to travel as one convoy it must be very slow because of the really old motors. Or are we split into groups with a similar performance?

Looking forward to it nevertheless!

Hope those who went on the historic run today enjoyed it. Would anyone like to volunteer to write a couple of paragraphs about it for Porsche Post and perhaps let me have a photo or two?

Thanks.

What a Good day, I've have some photo's that I'm sending to Christine Gilliver at JCT 600, I'll forward you a copy when I get chance to download them later this week.
The whole day was well organised and did we get the weather 21 deg. Aternoon tea at The Midland was a real treat.

From the reponse to my post I take it that there are no volunteers to do a quick write-up!

However, I'll try to include a photo or two if Steve or anyone else can send me some.

Hi Ian
Yes, I'll write a few lines if you wish.
What's the deadline as a bit busy this week
I also have a couple of foto's (it's ok, there's none with me in!!)
Regards
John

Appreciate that, thanks. I don't need War & Peace, just a couple of paragraphs about how many Porshes went, what other cars were there, the route, anything that happened during the trip and what the reception / tea was like at Morecambe. I'll add thanks to PC Leeds for organising it. I want to get it sent to Club Office by close on 23rd (next Wednesday) as we are away for a few days at the end of the month.

Thanks again.
