MOST replacement

Hi

Does anyone know of a radio with bluetooth (and sat nav) as a replacement for a CDR 23 unit.

I have bought a PCM2 unit for a retro fit but will still need to connect a phone to it. I have had a Parrot unit fitted which works OK but would like it integrated.

Comments and feedback would be gratefully received.

Thanks Graham

Hi Graham,

I have just replaced my CDR23 with a Becker 7990 Grand Prix. It has Bluetooth and iPOD intergration and is a single DIN size unit, so swaps over quite easily.

If you need a MOST headunit, you need to use a Porsche unit... CDR23 or PCM2 [8|]

I have just the standard speakers in my 996, so the head unit does the amplification (via ISO connections), I also did not have a CD Changer.
Non (standard), PSS (Porsche Sound System) or BOSE. If you have PSS or BOSE you will find you have a seerate amplifier connected by fibre optic (MOST BUS) and this is a headache if you want to keep your speakers and amplifer. If you have a CD Changer, it too will use the MOST BUS fibre optic conections.

I like the OEM look and operation of the Becker unit and the next model up, the Becker CASCADE version includes a very good satnav facility.

Thansk Paul,

Unfortunately you have confirmed my frears, MOST is a pain, I have the Bose system. So looks like I have to do the PCM retro fit.

I am looking at buying the Dension Gateway 500 to allow Ipod connection. I do not know if anyone has found a alternative ipod solution for a MOST system.

Apart from the FM transmitter solution

Many Thanks Graham
