MOT Failure Part Query - Front ARB bracket

Hi. My S2 (MY91) has failed its MOT on a fracture in the Front ARB mounting bracket which is apparently a simple job to replace. However, my garage says that they cannot identify the specific part for an S2, but that they are available for all other 944/951/968 models, having called OPC/ECPs etc. The question is - Is this a common part across the model range i.e. will a Lux/ Turbo or 968 bracket fit? Am surprised that the OPC did not know.

Thanks in advance.

Garth

I'm guessing it's this.

If it is then the part No. is 944.343.731.02. And do both sides at the same time they're easy to fit and only cost £5.49p each from an OPC

If it's the hanging bracket (between the chassis and the bush) the part No. is 944.343.733.31

Hope this helps.

Has answered the main question, but the other answer is "Yes, it's the same part on all the later 944's the difference in ARB diameter is taken up by different thickness bushes, with the M030 ones being the thinnest..."

consider fitting the additional SAR brackets at the same time.Makes a big difference increasing the spring rating of the ARB.Sits much more tightly at the front end.

Thanks for all the replies - that's the fella. Managed to track one down on the shelf of OPC Glasgow. Car now back to full fighting fitness and had an enjoyable drive around the west of Loch Lomond to celebrate.

Well that looked mullered!
Bet it was all over the shop on the road!

Never mind, at least it's a nice cheap, easy fix. Makes a change on these, cars, eh?

The other half was trying to talk me into a 928 until I saw the price of a recon steering rack!!!
