Morning all ! Took the old girl for her annual 'health check ' , all good and passed as expected. Nice old MOT chap who's seen the car very year for the last 9yrs was even impressed by my shiny new rear ARB drop links !

He commented on a split ball joint cover on the OS track control arm- " I'm not even going to put an advisory down as I know you'll fix it !"

So who knows where I can order one from ?

ISTR zacgop did a thread on this a few years ago ?

You can get them from eBay via the user ArthurDaly (I kid you not). The same chap also runs this website here

Some motor factors near me have now started selling balljoint boots but quite often it is require for you to measure your old one as a guide for the new replacement. If you have changed a lower arm before on a 944 this task will be a breeze but it is a simple enough job. I am sure you know about leaving the rear eccentric adjuster alone in this case :).

Nice MOT Inspector! Mine failed on the same ting a couple of years a back. Agree with what Chas says above.

I bought them from eBay and they were about the same size as Size 3 in that link.

The ones I bought worked fine, although apparently the Porsche part is common with a VW Mk1 Golf part if you want to keep it completely original.
