Wehey I have another 12 months mot on my Lux today with no advisories[:)]
This is the 3rd time in the 4 years that I have owned her that she has passed 1st time[:)][:)]
great for 25 years old(not me..the car)

hiya cococola, got to agree,it feels good when you get the mot with no advisories, as with my 20yr old "baby", nice one ...jason p

Mine passed 2 weeks ago....... but the tester found a wishbone had a knackered ball joint [:(] Once that was replaced, along with new number-plates, I was duly issued with a pass......[:)] One good thing is that the new wishbone has cured a slight vibration that was happening at approx 70MPH......... not that I ever drive above that speed!!!

Excellent. Mine is not due until August but as I am a proud new owner, I figured I would check out the advisories from the last MOT that the previous owner neglected to tell me. A very useful link for checking such things [link=http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/Mot/DG_10020539]here[/link] The only advisories were Offside Rear Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c) Nearside front tyre worn on outer edge Slight oil leak I was aware of the tyre and I have recently replaced the 2 front tyres so that's cool. I guess a brake pipe is easy enough to replace myself, or a cheap job for a garage to do? A bit more concerned about a slight oil leak. It's a little bit vague and the car doesn't appear to me to have an oil leak! Where do I start to look?

My `88 944s passed yesterday with only one advise , a very small amount of up/down play in the steering rack top and bottom knuckle joints. Both the garage owner and the MOT tester agreed the amount of play was so small it didn't need any attention. [:D] The MOT tester said that with the way MOT's are done these days they have to `advise' on even very small deviations from the test parameters. not bad for a 22year old. The 5 mile drive to the garage in snow/ice/slush was interesting to say the least, tail out on a roundabout in 2nd gear at 15mph !!!!!!!!! Norm
