could someone confirm the part number for the motorsport diff plates please? How long do these last or is it worth gong with the ninemeister carbon option?

Hi Julian, out of interest, what are the symptoms giving you cause to replace the diff plates,? instability on acceleration and braking maybe, presume you have had the back end up and moved a wheel with no movement from the opposite wheel,
as you know I had the ms diff plates installed to mine, with new crown wheel bolts, was a different car, the originals were
completely trashed.

Hi Steve, the car just won't put the power down cleanly out of tight corners etc and generally isn't handling that well. There is no resistance when you turn the wheels. I am struggling to get a staright answer on which part is the one to fit, a 996 GT3 RS or a 993 motorsport part or are they the same?

Hi Julian, I can confirm the motorsport diff plates are the same item for the 996 gt3 rs and the 993 rs, they can only be sourced from Porsche Motorsport in Germany, in the UK Parr motorsport are the official franchised dealer, who ever you decide to carry out the work will no doubt get hold of the kit, price is around £600 for the diff plate kit, plus crown wheel bolts and oil, the labour costs
will be around 5 hours which will be around £225.00 @ £45.00 per hour at an independent porsche specialist, up North that is,
probably more pricey in London []

thanks steve, much appreciated! The carbon diff option (replacement diff) from Ninemeister looks interesting ! more £ but less maintenance/ diff plate replacement
