Mould on Cabriolet roof

The Cabriolet roof on my 997 C4S has developed some mould spots during the winter which I am keen remove.

Has anyone got any tips for the best way to do this? I have used fabric roof cleaner (Autoglym) in the past and periodically re-proof the fabric roof to keep it waterproof (I use Renovo product for this) but is there something specific for removing mould?

Thanks!

I've had this problem on my Boxster in the past & used the Autoglym hood cleaner that comes in a box with the proofer & a sponge.

Wasn't overly impressed to be honest when I used it first, but when I used it at the end of the summer I sprayed the hood with the cleaner, left it to soak in for about 15 minutes & then agitated it with the sponge as per the instructions. Following this I then sprayed the hood with the hose & used the sponge again over the whole roof to further agitate the roof material whilst washing the sponge out regularly (it's white so you can see when it gets dirty). It's only when you do this a few times you realise how much soap is left in the material which apparently affects the proofer if left in.

I was really surprised to see how much filth came out if the hood when doing this - I rinsed & used the sponge over the hood at least 3 times & hood came up beautifully after.

Hope this helps.

Yes, thank you that is helpful guidance. I have used the autoglym cleaner in the past but not quite as you describe so I will try that.

Any other tips from experience of forum members are also much appreciated.

Thanks
