If, like me, you've been wondering where your tickets to this event are, I just spoke to the organiser who confirmed that tickets were posted First Class yesterday so should be dropping through your letterbox today or tomorrow.

My ticket arrived in today's post in an envelope postmarked 23 Jun, together with other details given in an enclosed letter dated 22 Jun. The letter says that a 911 GT3 RS 4.0 will be in the Supercar paddock, the full Porsche model range will be there and a number of vehicles from the Museum will be on display.

Just got back from a great day at Goodwood. We did the Hill in the new hybrid Panamera. It sure is an ugly beast but it's so smooth and quiet.

Sadly, the Porsche displays (in 3 areas) looked a bit lack-lustre, with the possible exception of the GT3 4.0. Mercedes-Benz put on a spectacular show of classic Mercs. Land Rover 's new Range Rover Evoque looked better in the flesh than the publicity material suggested (if you like that sort thing). The Honda Eye was a must do. And the Red Arrows put on a brilliant display.

We saw at least 12 Boxsters there and plenty of 911s, many sporting PCGB stickers, parked in the public car park. A blue X reg Boxster from R17 parked behind us. We saw several of the PCGB old faithful around the Porsche stand all sporting club polo shirts.

The general organisation at Goodwood wasn't as smooth as we were expecting. We encountered stewards that didn't know where displays were located and the car park helpers gave confliction directions as to where to park.

On balance, it was a brilliant day out, topped off by a nice meal in Worthing and an evening stroll on the beach.

If you went, what did you think?

Hi

I attend Goodwood moving Motor Show & i had a lovely day & the weather was kind but it did get some black clouds mid afternoon & I was parked in no 1 car park & show a lots Boxster & 911 & a few Caymans & Cayenne's mine inc which my dealership lent me as my Cayman was being serviced.

In the Supercar Paddock there was the Rare GT3RS 4.0 & 1 of only 500 a GT2Rs in black & also in the Cayenne area there was a Carrera GT & a early Green Boxster & in the sales village there was a 2 door Cayenne & it looked very nice & it suited the Cayenne.

I had the ride up the Goodwood Hill in the new Panamera Hybrid & it was very go ride even on battery power & up the hill we topped 100 miles per hour & the porsche driver did a excellent job even when we got close to the wall at the top of the hill.

In the Porsche VIP area I had a lovely meal at lunchtime but at the afternoon tea I had to pay £13.70 as I sat in the wrong area & there was no sign's say there was two areas for Porsche Customer & Non Porsche Customers but that life & I was advised to call Porsche & see if they will honour a refund as even the staff was dressed to same for both areas. The service was a bit slow at lunchtime & having to wait nearly 50mins for my main course & another 30mins for my sweet but this didn't spoil my day & I plan to attend this excellent event in 2012.

The stands were big & Audi topped that area & in front of Goodwood house there was a even bigger E-Type Jaguar for there 50th year maybe The Club can do something for there big 50th party in September as I think it will make the day special.

I'm glad I don't leave in the area of Goodwood as I stayed at the Arundel Hilton Hotel last night & it was grid locked getting into Goodwood for the next 3 days but getting anywhere on the M27 was very slow but not if you was going the other way it was no problem.

Yours Truly Kevin. [:)]

In reply to your comment about the GFOS marshals, we arrived at 09.00 Thursday morning and just kept driving in as directed by the marshals and eventually parked near the house in the Formula One paddock, brilliant, but I am not sure we were supposed to be there. We were only about 75yds from Gasoline Alley sheds. on what was a brilliant day out.
