Well this morning I couldn't resist temptation and I've bought a 987 Boxster... I'm picking it up next weekend.

So the 944 will be going up for sale soon. I'll tidy up a couple of odds and ends then advertise it. It will be with mixed feelings when i say good bye to it. It's been great fun and a super community.

I promise I'll still wave for 944s!

Unfortunately, they won't wave back [:'(]

As a multiple 944 and now Boxster owner, welcome [:)]

The 944 is an excellent car though - do you have to sell it? I wish I'd been able to keep my second one.

As a newcomer to Porsches, I had expected more mutual acknowledgements from other Porsche drivers. But I've now given up waving at them as I've never yet received a response. Either they don't think a 944 is worthy of a wave, or perhaps they simply don't recognise it as a Porsche ?

Best of luck with that Boxster. I haven't liked the ones I've driven but they are indeed popular (the first one was a courtesy car when my S2 was being repaired, and I couldn't wait to get my 944 back.) They are definitely crisper to drive than a 944 and feel quite lively at low speeds.
Bernard, I've never bothered waving at Boxsters. Too new, too many worlds apart. In fact, the only other Porsches I have ever waved at have been 944's and 924's. Having said that, I've found 968 drivers to be occasionally friendly too.

Oli.

No we are not [:)] if I see you I will flash the lights or wave

have to say a man in a blue Boxster flashed and waved at me today in North Weald!

Sorry that your leaving Ian, been good having you along.
glad you are staying with the Marque hope to catch up with you soon.

and I will be looking out for that wave.....[:)]
