Personally, I'd change the head unit for something that is compatible. Probably cheaper and more effective. You can always keep the CDR21/22 to put back in the car when you sell it, if you want to retain originality.

if youve got a CDR21, you could get a solisto box, which replaces the cd changer, and allows you connet an Ipod direct, with all controls from the radio
Ive got one fitted to my becker 4720, works great - costs about £100 and dead easy to fit

As John said it's easy to fit, plug and play, it replaces the multichanger.

I guess that if I use an I-pod instead of an MP3 then I'll need the Solisto, is this box fitted in the same place as the cd changer would go or is it fittted inside the car, finally is this a DIY job or will I need my local ICE guy?
