Hi all,

Asking on behalf of a friend who is considering a Cayenne S :)

He said on porsche.com it stated a MPG as 14.9??

Is that what problem are experiencing??

Thanks

Hi
New Cayenne S is delivering 19mpg over 13k since we got it in March. Previously we had the original model without the direct injection and got 18mpg over 60k. Mixed driving, some motorway, mostly local, 'make progress where appropriate' as they say at IAM.
On a run from Guildford to Leeds and back last week, trip computer showed an average of 23mpg over 670 miles. Not bad for a big old lump filled with student gear and two passengers.
Better than the 14mpg average a mate gets from his Range Rover Sport...

You should expect anything from mid teens to mid twenties depending on type of driving and how you do it. A heavy right foot makes a big difference. As Peter says the Cayenne is a big lump.
Anything low to mid twenties is pretty good going.

Also dont fall into the trap that I did and buy the Cayenne with the 3.2 V6 thinking it would be more economical....Wrong!! It averages 18.5mpg with mixed driving town / motorway and thats without a heavy right foot. Managed to get 22mpg once but that was driving like an old granny [:-]
