Stole this from another thread ...................please sign this petition if you are in agreement. See Boxter section and thread title VEHICLE EXCISE TAX for more info.

Kim

An online petition has been started to ask Downing Street to revoke the massive hike in Vehicle Road Tax brought about under the guise of "Green Taxes".

Could you please take the time to sign the petition against these unfair taxes which do nothing to address the true causes of pollution but just tax working people an extra £1.2 billion over the next two years.

The petition can be found at: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/greenstealth/

Please pass on to as many people as possible.

Signed it. Seems to be getting a habit, signing up to complain about the Government ripping off motorists. Maybe they need a reminder what a democracy is...

Signed it, but some hope of getting a result. They've a black hole to fill (e.g. Northern Rock etc) and the motorist is a soft touch. Meanwhile the Armed Services are expected to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan but are starved of funding.

Well come 2009/10 we get a chance to do some democracy . How are they in power who voted them in. I have come across no one that voted Labour, or is it I am mixing with the right people[:D]

Well Mr. D. is one of your own ( and partially mine I suppose as I am half Scots ) - the blame seems to lie with the worthy voters of Edinburgh South West which is his constituency.

As to who voted them in well 1. the chattering classes esp. teachers, 2. most people who are benefit dependent esp. those who do not want to work, 3. Many people who work for the public sector the expansion of which has to be seen to be believed, 4. next - and I have the utmost respect for these people - those who believe that this government would be ethically and morally superior to any other, - shame they have been proved wrong for all our sakes, 5. those with such a short memory that they cannot remember the confounded mess Labour governments get us into each time they are given a turn.

Rant over,

Andrew

That's it.......lets start the 'Porsche Owners Party'!!!

Kx
Oh, I signed it too, pity it only does one person from my household as we both share the same email address[8|]!!!

Ref - "Porsche Owners Party"

Actually that's not such a bad idea.

If Porsche GB are taking the trouble to question Red Ken's congestion charge, would it not be a good idea to put PCGB backing into that in return for manufacturer support against darling Darling?

Perhaps this should be an issue dealt with at head office.

Just think though, this was your idea, play your cards right and you could be "the face of POP" (or some other suitable acronym?)

Andrew

Trouble is the so called Opposition North or South of the Border seem to have the same ideas. Leads me to wonder just who really sets the agenda. After all they are supposed to represent us but they don't do that as far as I can see.
