thanks for all your help and advice everyone . A very fine and thoroughly nice chap called Steve over on Porsche-1.net has bought it for me.

He says he's going to re-sell it on ebay for $200 ......... barsteward ! [

sooooooo ...now I will be able to ressurect my little 8" notebook again brilliant

hi all
do we have any members in the US who are Brits ?
I have been trying for weeks to buy something only available in the US to repair my notebook.
Unfortunately none of the US ebay sellers will ship to the UK .

The part I need is an an inverter costing about $21 plus P & P
Would someone kindly buy this for me and send it to me in the UK and I'll send you an extra $20 for your trouble .
