Arrangements have been made for reserved parking on the Hillside car park with a view of the track and sited next to the paddock area. Bring a picnic with you - good catering facilities are provided including hot food, drinks and icecream.

This event is one of the main attractions of the year and has 66 entrants - a commentary is provided during the event and a speed and time clock. It is a splendid location with fantastic views across the dales plus lots of interesting cars to drool over. A good day out for all the family so lets make it a well attended event.

John and Rita,

Sounds like you have done a lot of organising to get this off the ground so thanks.

Do we know what is best time to turn up - and cost of admission?

Andrew

If the event is anything like the meeting in June it'll be grand. We had lots of sunshine, a lovely view of the course and fast Porsches. Thanks to John and Rita for organising this. Unfortunately, you won't see my Subaru at this one, I'm booked in for the meeting in August and will be sprinting at the Three Sisters that day!

Everyone have a good time! [:)]

John has asked for an indication of numbers attending so that he can arrange parking. If you are planning to go, could you post here please?

Thanks.

There will be few from R3 going, at an educated guess, 8 cars. Do we know what the parking is like? Is it on grass, just thinking about conditions with all this flippin rain we've had!!

Parking is on grass - just request parking near the road if the hilltop area is not available - may have to use that space for competitors etc.

Can give you an idea of the conditions tomorrow evening - our friend will be attending practice day Saturday so I can make enquiries re conditions etc. and will post information.

Regards
Rita & John

Just had a report back from the track - conditions fairly good - wind is already drying up any wet areas.
25 spaces have been reserved on the Hilltop Car Park which has short grass and is usually drier and has good access to the paddock area next to it. Hope to arrive there at about 10.30.

Look forward to meeting you there.

Thanks for everyone attending especially Nick & North East region members - we all left sunshine unfortunately the rain dampened our picnic plans somewhat! Many thanks to Andrew for his photos and videa on utube.

Roof off back again but had to quickly raise it about 10 miles from home.

Great day John & Rita, my first hill climb event, thought it was excellent, thanks for sorting the parking, at least the sun got out eventually.

See you both soon.

We really enjoyed our first hill climb. It only rained on the way there, and the rest of the day was fine. Looked like we missed all the nasty weather, that big horrible look black cloud, which appears to have dumped on York whilst we were out!
