I don't know I'm afraid . . .I suppose it could be found out, but probably a fair bit of hassle.

Berney is and Brod is/was .

You're having a bit of an 'S fest' from Epsom.

Phil

I thought you'd recognise a few names.

BTW: Spotted this update on the website

UPDATE
Friday 28 September 2007

The route books are currently at the printers and we expect them back on 4th October, when they will be posted out to all entrants.

[;)] I picked mine up from the sorting office this morning (they tried to deliver it yesterday but it was too big for the letterbox).

intended to do this but other things got in the way, and i never sent in the application. i just know i am going to miss out on a great event. [&o]

have fun everyone and take some photos for me to enjoy [8D]

My pack has arrived . . . . have to say it all looks very well organised . . really looking forward to it. Excellent tulip map and looks like some interesting roads.

Will be interesting to see what's being tested on the High Speed ring at Millbrook (they're warning us to keep left if recall).

Phil

Really enjoyed this event . . . greatly helped by the weather.

Well organised with an interesting mix of cars turning up. The roads were as good as you'll get for the route we took, particularly if you could get in front of the slower cars. Millbrook was interestingly, fantastic hill route (if a little confusing to start with "" one big 'no entry' sign) and good to go round the high speed bowl (if over all too quickly). It's like a military base . . . no cameras, lights on, kind of weird. There was a camouflaged car driving about . . . . couldn't tell you want it was, but it definitely wasn't a Porsche (or anything even remotely erotic).

Great to finish off with 2 top speed (for me) laps of the full Silverstone circuits. Car behaved very well and good to catch up with a few friends.

Phil

Did you make it back for the rugby Phil, thanks for leading the way back to the a14 very helpful as i was a bit knackered,

Anyway the day.. well organised maps were good even the little orange arrows on signposts were very helpful just in case you wandered off route thanks to my partner that was never going to happen, mind i did see plenty of cars that did. ickworth house 1st stop on norwich route...big house and welcome loos, shuttleworth collection was next lots of planes and food, millbrook proving ground was next that was great the hill section was challenging even a little confusing the bowl was great the chap on the gate said at 100 mph on the top section you could take you hands off the wheel and the balance would carry you round...he did say not to go on lane five (its true) and the guy in the masked up vauxhall in lane 4 was a bit bemused when i went past him... shhh.
Silverstone ahh silverstone we got there in good time and were corralled straight onto the circuit...no break before so right into the action managed to wind the old girl right up (and the mrs) and there was a few squeeks and shrieks but the best fun ever
having an open top d type jag all over your tail for a lap at full tilt.... it was one of those moments that you just cannot put into words

would i do it again next year.... i am booked already

Glad you got back okay . . . . . we got back to Norwich, swapped the cars over, tucked the 911 up in bed and got back to Fakenham just as they were singing the anthems.

I was that knackered I only managed the first half before falling asleep and waking up at 1am [&:][&o]

sounded a good event any pictures..

oh and for the eagle eyed

1962 912 Nigel Halliday / Matthew Halliday

now this I have to see.. [;)]

There were two 912's, a Silver one that had been lent to this bloke by his boss. Very good order, although not running 100% and had period but none standard seats.

Then there was the guy who organised the PCGB 912 french trip last year (or was it the year before) . . . can never remember his name . . is it Rick[8|]?

There was also a newly restored chartrusse 2.4 S RHD . . . didn't get to chat to the owner but I met someone who did and the owner reckons its the earliest 2.4 S to be imported to the UK. If I get a chance, I'll post the 3 or 4 pictures I managed to take.

Phil
