Mudflaps

I have not seen any pictures of Cayennes with mudflaps fitted and wondered if they are recommended. I was thinking about stopping road muck being splattered onto the paintwork, or is this not a problem.

As I'm expecting delivery of a Cayenne S Diesel by the end of the month I just wondered if I should ask the dealer to fit a set before I collect it.

I can't say I've seen a Cayenne with any fitted but I know where you are coming from. It depends on your level of OCD, I accept it'll get dirty and just wash it more.

Thanks mikec I was wondering why I never saw any photos of cayennes with mud flaps fitted, seems they are not really necessary so will save myself a few £'s and not bother. Might get some rubber floor mats instead.[:D]

I remember the days of when we fitted mud flaps, not to prevent dirt on our car but to prevent spray and stones being directed to the car behind. Car manufactures all produced tailored flaps to fit. Sadly for most this is not the case today and no one seems to care about the guy behind any more.

.... that said I have on order a set of Porsche mud flaps (and rubbber mats) for a recently acquired Cayenne S. I will post some photos once I have fitted them.

Silly question but what do you mean by OCD? I assume you do not mean Obsessive-compulsive disorder and cannot think of anything driver related that matches OCD.
