Multi Function Steeing Wheel addition

Hi I want to add the multi function steering wheel to my 997 C4S and was wondering if the Duremetrics system analyser is capable of reprogramming the car to accept the multi function steering wheel if I buy one from online? Also does anyone have any previous experiences of post fitting this upgrade to their cars? Currently I have the optional extra of Sport steering wheel which I really like the feel of but I do not think I can fit the buttons to this type of wheel but does anyone know any more about it?
thanx and best regards
Chris

I believe durametric or PIWIS will sort coding, but I think you'll need to check the airbag is correct unit.
Also check the new wheel has the mfsw ecu, which sits behind the airbag too.
I looked at this mod, but was rather put off by the lack of 'thumb notches' on the mfsw.

Hi and thanx for your reply. Since making the above request, I have purchased a MF steering wheel, also both the Durametric and PIWIS systems but have not yet attempted the installation. I will be doing it next week after the school holidays and when I have some time to play! I will update this post with my findings.

It would be good if you could do a step by step description as you progress, perhaps with some photos. It's something we could post in our technical section as a future reference for members.
Regards ,
Clive.
