Multi Function Steering Wheel

Simple question, does it have a mute button on it for the stereo?..not bothered about phone & track/station buttons etc, but it would be very handy just to hit one button to mute the music when I boot it, rather than having to keep reaching across and rolling the PCM knob about.
Also I presume a multi function wheel can be retro fitted quite easily, ie the wiring etc is there to just connect to etc
Thanks

Yes, just press the small volume wheel with your left thumb and it mutes.

Retro fit? No idea...

You can retro fit but it's a lorra lorra cash. I heard that it's closing in on 4 figures...

Absolutley ridiculous costs. It amazes me on cars costing £80+ that a multi function steering wheel is an option, I mean you get one as standard on cars costing £2.50...Ok some may not want it, but would it not make sense to spec it as standard & if you want a thicker wheel or no buttons or whatever then spec those things as options.
Here we are in a car that make a great noise and Porsche wont give you a simple volume control for your stereo on the steering wheel..Grrrrrr, I certainly am not paying £800 + for one fitted. Times like this I realise why Porsche make a bottom line of a billion +

Chris, I think Dapster's reply refers to a Sports steering wheel, not the multifunction. My guess is to retrofit the MF will be 3- or 4-times this amount. I had the MF fitted as a factory option and wouldn't be without it (I'm desperate now to have a thicker rim!) but there are many guys out there who think MF is out of place in a car like ours. I assume that's why it's an optional extra. John.

Surely though one would have thought Porsche would be quite capable of having multi function controls on various thickness steering wheels..its hardly rocket science is it. Besides its not really multi function Im after, its just a mute button, which really should be standard on any car that sounds good!!
