Multifunctional Steering Wheel?

I hope you are keeping well.

Things are slowly going back to the ‘new normal‘ now which is good.

It made me think it might be time to try and swap my steering wheel.

I have a manual 997 Turbo gen 1 with the standard steering wheel. What I would like to do is swap it for the multifunctional steering wheel that was an available option.

Has anyone done this? Is it possible to do? Any suggestions of where I can go to get it done?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello.
I swapped my sports steering wheel for a carbon multi-function wheel.
It's was a pretty straight swap however it needs to be coded. My local specialist did this for me with no trouble.

Hope this helps.

Could I ask where you sourced the steering wheel or who did it for you as I am struggling with this!

Thanks

I bought the Steering wheel from one of the forums, I can't remember which one. Might even have been eBay. They do come up now and again. I've found unless you want to pay full price for dealer items you have to be a little patient for stuff to come up. The steering wheel happened to be available just after I bought the car but I had to wait almost two years for the matching gearknob to pop up on eBay. I was looking for OEM Carbon items though.

Brooklands specialist vehicle services in Swanley Kent look after her and fitted it for me when she went in for a check up.

Hi, I have upgraded my 997.1 multifunction wheel to a 997.2 multifunction wheel. Is your turbo a manual or a tiptronic?

Just seen that it's a manual , should be quite an easy swap , just needs the pwis to enable multifunction in the settings .
