My 1998 Tiptronic

Hi all,

I have a question regarding my 1998 2.5 Tiptronic............

The automatic gearbox has two modes:- a manual mode (where you can change gears manually via the switches on the steering wheel) and an automatic mode.

When in automatic mode, should I also be able to manually change gears using the switches or is this option limited to just manual mode? My car is currently being serviced and the loan car I' ve got (an 03 2.7 Tiptronic) allows me to do this in auto mode.

If my car should allow me to do this, I' ll get Porsche to check it out whilst it' s being serviced.
